Description

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) will award the Tribal Youth Program’s (TYP) Juvenile Accountability Discretionary Grants to federally recognized tribes to develop and implement programs that hold tribal youth accountable for their delinquent behavior and strengthen tribal juvenile justice systems. Specific statutory authority for this program can be found at 42 U.S.C. Section 3796ee-1. To meet these goals, tribes may use program funds to address one or more of seventeen TYP JADG Program Purpose Areas.
