Description
Purpose. The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) invites applications for Center Core Grants designed to advance the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and amelioration of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) seeks applications from institutions that meet the qualifications for a program of IDD research. The grants fund core resources to support interdisciplinary research and research training. Funds for the research projects using these core facilities come from independent sources including Federal, State, and private organizations.
Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Core Center research (P30) grant mechanism.
Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. The total amount of funding that the NICHD expect(s) to award in FY 2010 is $3.23 million; the anticipated number of awards is three.
