The purpose of amendment 002 to this FOA is to revise section I.B.Area of Interest 1 to delete the language concerning “groups of states” applying under this area of interest. Applicants are advised that DOE seeks applications from States, not groups of States.
The areas which have been changed are highlighted within the Funding Opportunity Announcement in green.
All other parts of the FOA remain unchanged.

The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s (EERE’s) State Energy Program (SEP), seeks applications to advance policies, programs, and market strategies that accelerate job creation and reduce energy bills while achieving energy and climate security for the nation. This competitive Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) allows states to compete for funding designed to meet EERE nationally focused initiatives for the fundamental and permanent transformation of markets across all sectors of the economy.
