Description
This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), National Institutes of Health is a limited competition RFA inviting cooperative agreement (U01) applications from investigators currently participating as part of the Look AHEAD (Action for Health in Diabetes) Consortium. Look AHEAD is a clinical trial that will examine the long-term health effects of an intensive lifestyle intervention program designed to achieve and maintain weight loss in overweight and obese participants with type 2 diabetes. The purpose of this limited competition will be to allow an additional 2-year follow period of all currently enrolled participants.
