U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 7 is soliciting proposals to support efforts by the agricultural community to “transition” away from high-risk pesticides to the use of less and reduced-risk pesticides, alternative methods of agricultural pest control, and sustainable practices in food production. The Strategic Agricultural Initiative (SAI) program supports grants for education, extension, demonstration, and implementation of reduced risk practices for pest management.
