Original Closing Date for Applications: Jun 17, 2013    Proposals should be received as early as possible, but no later than 1 p.m. (EST) on the cut-off dates listed at the end of the BAA. (See table at the end of the BAA for schedule of proposal receipt cut-off dates.) Proposals shall be valid for a period of 1 year from date of receipt. Awards will be made for a period of five years on a bi-monthly basis beginning April 30, 2009 and ending on June 17, 2014.

Description

The Office of Net Assessment conducts and sponsors analyses that compare the standing, trends, and future prospects of U.S. and foreign military capability and military potential. Priority is given to assessing aspects of the security environment and parts of the world that are likely to change in the future, and that may present threats or opportunities to the United States. Assessments may focus on specific theaters, regions, functions, mission areas, major weapons categories, doctrine, etc., as well as on demographic, economic, and political developments that may affect the power and strategies of nations. There are five specific areas of interest and one area for additional research topics. The areas of interest are as follows: Future Naval Warfare, Proliferated World, Space, Sustaining Current Areas of U.S. Advantage, History, and Additional Research Topics.
