Description
Purpose. The FOA issued by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) invites applications from investigators willing to participate with the NICHD under a cooperative agreement in an ongoing multi-center clinical program designed to investigate problems in neonatal medicine, particularly those related to low birth weight, prematurity, and common neonatal medical problems.
Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the U10 NIH Cooperative Clinical Research Agreement grant mechanism.
Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. NICHD intends to commit approximately $5.6 million total costs in FY 2011 to fund up to 18 new and/or competing continuation grants in response to this FOA. There will be protocol related expenses to be allocated through the data coordinating center.
